Each year, 70 positions are offered to Saudis physicians interested in being recruited in the French residency program to obtain a French specialization degree ! 

The application starts in the beginning of each year and all the medical specialties are available.

The application requirements are:

  • ​​​​​​To be a Saudi citizen

  • To be less than 33 years old

  • To hold a bachelor degree in Medicine from a Saudi university. If the bachelor degree was obtained from a foreign country, having an equivalence from the Saudi Ministry of Education is mandatory.

  • To have an average GPA: 2.8 out of 4 or 3.5 out of 5 for Saudi universities; and 70% for foreign universities.

  • To have financial guarantee from a governmental institute (Scholarship).
     

Dentists and other medical professions are not included in the French residency program.
 

If your application is selected, the scholarship of the program will support a-one-intensive year to learn French in France, before your specialization, in order to reach the certification DELF B2. Indeed, you will follow a patient-centered program in the frame of which you will daily meet French-speaking patients.

  • Degrees including graduation certificates, internship certificates, accreditation, etc

Fellowship

​​​​​​The French Ministry of Health is offering to foreign practitioners from non-EU countries the opportunity to subspecialize in a hands-on fellowship in the French hospitals. They can be combined with high-level teaching programs, in the medical, dental and pharmaceutical fields. A temporary license for medicine is offered by the French Board for the duration of the training in order to be able to practice.
